The following events are scheduled for 2012
March 29th -April 1st: 150th anniversary of the Battle of Shiloh: Shiloh TN. Members of Boys of 61 will be portraying members of 1st Battery of Minnesota light artillery which fought with valor in the “Hornets Nest” at Shiloh.
May 5th -6th: Murphy’ Landing -Civil War Spring Muster -Civil War reenactors gather to drill and prepare for the 2012 Civil War Reenactment season. Come see infantry and artillery firing as well as camp life in a historic old town.
May 26th -28th: Fundraiser at WalMart – Shakopee, MN- 10:00am-6:00pm.
Our great great great Uncle, Patrick Igoe from Belle Creek, Goodhue Cty, served in the volunteer Army. I have a reunion photo taken in Fairmount, Mn. of the group of infantry men.
I would like to know more about the monument for Civil War Volunteer Army.
